At SM Thompson, we provide precision steel plate rolling services for customers across the North East and the UK. Our advanced CNC plate rolling equipment enables us to produce accurate, high-quality rolled sections for a wide range of engineering, structural steelwork and fabrication projects.
Our 4-roll CNC machine can roll plate up to 65mm thick over 3,000mm, and up to 110mm thick over shorter lengths. The 4-roll system also allows us to pre-press the ends of the plate, reducing waste and improving the finished product.
We offer both free issue plate rolling and supply-and-process solutions. Customers can either provide their own material for rolling, or take advantage of our extensive steel stock and in-house processing services for a complete turnkey solution.
